The BlackRock Foundation invites proposals for high-impact innovations and initiatives that help close the skilled trades labor gap.
As part of BlackRock’s $100 million Future Builders initiative to train 50,000 workers, this nationwide funding opportunity is aimed at organizations and solutions that address critical skilled trades labor gaps and help workers access good jobs that offer stability, advancement, and long-term economic opportunity.
Jobs for the Future, a national nonprofit, is supporting the RFP submission and review process on behalf of The BlackRock Foundation.

How to Apply
Applications must be submitted through Submittable byFriday, July 10, 2026, at 11:59pm PT. Emailed or late submissions will not be accepted.
Applicants should be prepared to provide basic organization and contact information, responses to program narrative questions, and required documentation.
Each organization may submit one application per project. If an organization is applying as the lead applicant on behalf of a coalition or network, only one application may be submitted per coalition/network. Organizations should not submit multiple applications for the same project under different configurations (e.g., as both a lead applicant and a partner organization).
Applicants will need to create a free Submittable account or sign in to an existing account to complete and submit the application. Each Submittable account may submit only one application for this project.
